This is so excellent. These guys are tight, doing it live they have all the great elements of the studio version it holds its own.

I can't believe I never quite got this song. When first I heard it as a teen in the late 70s, I just thought the chorus was like in ML's Paradise By The Dashboard Light, but the point is obviously: what we cannot have, we only want more...even if we didn't want it in the first place.

Wow that was a couple of days before I saw Cheap Trick for New Years Eve of 1978! I saw them again in 1979 to rign in 1980. I can still hear Rick Nielsen saying 4 years till 1984!❤❤

I love their early days! Then they had to go commercial in the 80's unfortunately.

Saw the Tubes in Southampton , UK after they were banned in Portsmouth for lewd behaviour. The local council did not want to take a risk. A crazy, high energy set, it was fantastic. Fee Waybill was astonishing to watch. The whole of 'white punks on dope' is a mickey take on a white youth sub culture in the affluent areas of LA. I loved the very staged stack of speakers falling on top of him, as it did in every show and the bizzare characters casually appearing on the stage. I remember the topless female dancers dressed as king prawns, it doesn't get any wackier than this! They were so much more than just this song.
